 Lichfield Diocese 

(Lichfield Diocese covers a larger area than any other diocese in the Church of England. There is currently a campaign to achieve Fairtrade Diocesan status for Lichfield. The Diocese covers a large part of the West Midlands including the north of Shropshire, with Shrewsbury and most of Telford within the Lichfield Diocese)





Shropshire Council
Shropshire Council are a unitary authority covering most of Shropshire, including the county town of Shrewsbury.  Shropshire Council have always been very supportive of the Coalition, as were Shropshire County Council in the past.



Telford & Wrekin Council

Telford & Wrekin Council are a unitary authority in the east of Shropshire, established in 1998. Telford & Wrekin Council have always been very supportive of the Coalition.




 Ironbridge Gorge Museum  


Shropshire Fairtrade Coalition are proud to have the world famous Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Telford, Shropshire, as its "Fairtrade Flagship Employer". The Ironbridge Gorge is a World Heritage site and there are ten museum sites in and around Ironbridge, bringing thousands of visitors to Telford and Shropshire. The Ironbridge Gorge Museum is commited to Green Tourism, including support for local produce, and Fairtrade. Look for Green Tourism on its extensive website. We are absolutely delighted to report that Steve Miller, Ironbridge Gorge Museum Chief Executive, tells us that the Museum have achieved the provision of 100% Fairtrade tea, coffee and hot chocolate across all its ten museum sites. No mean feat, and an example to us all. Very well done to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum.





Harper Adams University


Very many congratulations to Harper Adams on its University status awarded in December 2012. Shropshire Fairtrade Coalition are proud to acknowledge Harper Adams University, the only University in Shropshire, as a member and partner in the Coalition. Well done to all at Harper Adams. 









Shrewsbury Town Council

Shropshire Fairtrade Coalition are delighted to welcome Shrewsbury, the county town, to the ranks of Shropshire Fairtrade Towns, through the work of the Fairtrade Town Shrewsbury group working with Shrewsbury Town Council.

Ludlow Fairtrade Group

Ludlow have been a Fairtrade Town since 2003 and were Shropshire's second Fairtrade Town. Ludlow Fairtrade are a part of Ludlow 21, a local voluntary group promoting sustainable living in the Ludlow area.


Shrewsbury Friends of the Earth

Shrewsbury Friends of the Earth have supported Fairtrade in Shrewsbury and throughout Shropshire for many years.




This is a new feature of the website. We hope to identify here local Shropshire suppliers of Fairtrade goods, with a link to their websites. More Shropshire Fairtrade suppliers are welcome. 

The Bridge Coffee Company

The Bridge Coffee Company are based in Oswestry, and were founder members of The Shropshire Fairtrade Coalition. They can provide a range of Fairtrade products to Shropshire and the surrounding area.


Bikold Foodservice


Bikold are based in Ludlow, and serve the counties of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and further afield.
